  Windows 7 USB DVD download tool: “not a valid iso”. Microsoft released a USB DVD download tool that allows you to grab an ISO file from Microsoft's own. I downloaded the ISO file to "downloads". I installed the USB/DVD download Tool. I'm trying to make a bootable USB to repair Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

I downloaded the ISO file to "downloads". I open the tool, click "browse" to locate my ISO, click on it. I get a message saying the file is not valid. Does anyone know an easy fix for this? Can I rename the file? Should I have downloaded it to Documents instead of Downloads? This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread.
